HOW DO I JOIN?
Simply use our install scripts on any existing reciever!
WHY SEND DATA?
When you send data from your local area, not only do you bring joy to other enthusiasts, that combined data assists in search and rescue, fire fighting, and emergency services.

AIRPLANES.LIVE is made for aircraft tracking enthusiasts by actual aircraft tracking enthusiasts! We are not owned by private equity firms and profit driven individuals like those other exchanges.
WHO ARE WE?
The simple answer is we are plane tracking enthusiasts and coders that grew tired of corporate greed, lies, and drama that plagues the tracking community. We spent nearly 8 months forming an organization with by-laws that can't be sold, transferred, or otherwise taken over by any one individual. We are here for the long term. We are not working to get rich and sell out to a corporation. We are working for the greater good.
Corporations and shady individuals pretend to be enthusiasts while most of us just want to enjoy the hobby and share it with the next generation. While FlightAware ( owned by Raytheon ), FlightRadar24, et all are popular and well known, they exist to generate profit, not for public good or to support the needs of the greater community. Some of us ran and developed a well known tracking site that was sold to a private equity firm in 2023, without our knowledge, without our constent, and it was a slap in the face to the community we supported.
